Curriculum

Registration

Registration takes place in September on the Saturday following Labour Day and the school year ends on the first Saturday in June. Classes begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m., with folk dancing and singing during class time.

Grades 1-4

  • poetry

Grades 5-8

  • reading
  • writing
  • grammar
  • literature
  • history
  • geography

There is also a 30 minute choir and a 30 minute folk dance class.

Dr. Árpád Szõczi Scholarship

For the years 1999 – 2008 the Dr. Árpád Szõczi Scholarship was awarded to the grade 8 student most worthy of the award by virtue of achievement, effort and deportment. This scholarship has now been exhausted.
